SHARP (Surrey Healthy Aging Research Partnership)
“SHARP (Surrey Healthy Ageing Research Partnership) aims to spread awareness and engage the local community in the research into healthy ageing happening within the University of Surrey. Our vision is that SHARP will become an interactive forum between community members and the research team leading to an engaged and enthused public membership that will debate the issues of ageing.
ABOUT US:
We are a collection of academics, clinicians, and students that are investigating life long health and successful ageing.
WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:
The average age of our population is increasing, and ensuring that individuals enjoy healthy ageing is one of the grand challenges facing society. We believe it is not only important to research healthy ageing but also to actively involve and communicate with the older population. This will ensure that the diverse needs of the ageing population are identified and investigated.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:
Friendly reliable people that can help host and facilitate our open day events
