Tamil Society
Our aim is to encourage the promotion and celebration of our culture. This year our aim is to host events, celebrate festivals, and take part in events hosted by Tamil Societies of other universities. Our focus this year is to bring people of different years together to form one fun, supportive community.
ABOUT US:
Surrey Tamil Society was first founded in 2014 by a group of friends who wanted to bring together the Tamil community within the University of Surrey and start Tamil Society. The committee of 2020/21 are striving to have inclusive, safe events all year round for students, including virtual events in accordance to COVID-19 restrictions.
WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:
It's important for Tamils to know their heritage and culture, and support one another.
