Jigsaw Trust
Our mission is to enable children and adults with autism to be as independent and successful as possible.
ABOUT US:

Jigsaw Trust is a small charity that provides learning and development programmes to help children and adults with complex autism grow in independence and reach their potential. Most of our learners need support on a 1:1 basis and we focus on enabling them to learn life skills, improve communication abilities, and engage with the local community.

Jigsaw Trust comprises: Jigsaw School, which caters to pupils aged 4-19; JigsawPlus, an enriching day service for adults with autism; and Café on the Park and GardenWorks, special programmes that offer vocational opportunities and transferable skill development to boost independence.

WHY OUR WORK MATTERS:

We help people to learn life skills that make home life easier. We teach communication methods that enable people to express their thoughts, needs and feelings. We facilitate access to community activities and vocational opportunities that promote social inclusion. All this, and more, means that Jigsaw's specialised support significantly improves quality of life for children and adults with autism and their families.

OUR VALUES:
Person-centred; caring; teamwork; integrity; continuous learning
THINGS WE ARE PROUD OF:
Providing high quality education and support§Staying open throughout the 22 lockdown to support our beneficiaries and families
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR PEOPLE:

We're looking for passionate team-players for help with fundraising and, depending on Covid safety, support roles within our programmes. We're a small charity, so you'll really be able to see the impact of your achievements as a volunteer with Jigsaw.
