The Cairn Youth Network is a branch of the charity dedicated to raising awareness about domestic abuse to students on university campuses across the UK. It is a platform for social action. They create useful resources, organise events and ultimately aim to open up discussion on the issue of domestic abuse.
The Cairn Youth Network predominantly encourages volunteers to create and run a society at their university students’ union, and use this as a platform to raise awareness about this issue.
Domestic abuse is a serious issue that affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men in the United Kingdom. We want to educate young people about an issue that is so prevalent in our community and ensure they are well informed about where to receive support safely and securely.
