Academic Quality Services (AQS) are a section within the Directorate of Academic Performance, Quality and Governance at the University of Surrey. AQS ensures that all undergraduate, postgraduate taught and research programmes at the University of Surrey and our associated and accredited institutions:
• Meet sector requirements for academic standards
• Operate within a framework of regulations and quality assurance policies.
AQS works to ensure that the University of Surrey remains compliant with the Office for Students (OfS) regulatory framework.
The OfS requires every student, whatever their background, to have a fulfilling experience of higher education that enriches their lives and careers. It does this by appointing an organisation to carry out quality and standards assessment functions to support the OfS’ regulatory processes.

Our Opportunities
As a student panel member, you would assist Academic Quality Services to undertake Validations and Periodic Enhancements, to ensure that new and existing programmes at the University of Surrey are of the highest standard.
