Our new Surrey warehouse is set to open in Guildford in early 2024 and will enable us to receive more fresh, frozen, chilled and ambient food to be delivered across the region. We are lucky to be one of 32 Regional Centres, working as a network across the country with FareShare UK, a national charity.
Our food is a vital lifeline for vulnerable people in our community. Children and families, people on low incomes, people who have lost their jobs, the homeless, refugees, domestic abuse survivors, the elderly and key workers all rely on our food.
Volunteers are the beating heart of FareShare Sussex and Surrey, they keep the project thriving. We are always looking for more enthusiastic people to join us in the fight against waste and food insecurity across Sussex and Surrey. One of the things that makes our volunteer team so special is its sense of community. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere is often mentioned by visitors or new volunteers - a testament to the warm and compassionate nature of those who give up their time to be here each week.
