Community Volunteer

We're the charity that supports people as they become parents. Local NCT groups and activities are an essential part of what we do and help parents feel confident connected and safe.

What You'll Do:

As a Community Volunteer you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and inclusive community for parents.

In this flexible role, you will lead one of our easy to set up regular events such as Bumps & Babies or Walk & Talk, or help organise one of our well-known NCT Nearly New Sales.

What’s involved?

  • Planning and leading one of our local activities or services to support parents
  • Advertising your group or event via social media and other platforms
  • Attracting and welcoming helpers for your activity
  • Following NCT guidance to ensure all events are welcoming, inclusive and safe
  • Collecting and sharing information about the difference you make to parents
  • Promoting NCT’s values and vision in your local community
Why You'll Love It:
  1. What can you expect from us?
    • A great volunteer experience where you can meet new people, and develop skills
    • Excellent support from experienced volunteers and our Volunteering Team
    • Access to an online platform with all the tools, resources and training you will need
    • Expenses paid in line with our expenses policy
    • We champion equity, diversity and inclusion through all that we do
    • Importantly you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to parents in your local community
What We're Looking For:
  1. Our Community Volunteers are;
    • Passionate about supporting parents
    • Motivated and reliable
    • Able to plan and organise a one-off event or regular group
    • Welcoming to all parents, and a good listener
