Community Group and Children's Program Support

What You'll Do:

Community Group and Children's Program Support

Happy Baby Community (HBC) is a community of support for women who are pregnant or with a young child under five years old and seeking asylum. HBC runs a face-to-face outreach group once a week in Redhill to support women in the area. The meetings will be a safe space for the mothers with babies and pregnant mums to access our services, which include perinatal support, children's activities (singing and storytelling), yoga and dance classes, practical support, etc.

We are looking for volunteers interested in making a regular weekly commitment of around three hours from 10 am to 1 pm to join our group in Redhill, Surrey. This particular role is to help run the children's program. It is desired, although not essential, for volunteers to have experience in childcare, providing activities and sessions for children ages 0-5. The children's activities could be storytelling, song or dance time, crafts, or just general playtime with the children. Volunteers will also need to set up and tidy away after each session.

All travel will be compensated in cash each week. We will provide training and a professional reference.
