The following testimonials exemplify how rewarding this opportunity can be:
'As a Course Rep, I was really excited to help out as a Programme Validation panel volunteer and found it fascinating finding out more about what's going on at Surrey. As part of the volunteering, I helped teams from across the University make sure that courses took students' needs into account and helped question departments to make sure that courses had a good mix of content or assessments. It was fantastic to develop new skills, see more of the inner workings of the University, meet new people, and be part of the conversation around education at Surrey.'
'I took part in my first validation in my second year and it was such an eye opener into the workings behind the university. The panel is a great experience if you want to become more confident speaking in meetings, I really felt as though my thoughts were respected and heard. I would highly recommend the experience, as it provides excellent examples for interviews for the future.'
