Online Awareness Raiser

What You'll Do:

Many carers now use the internet to help them get to grips with the first stages of their caring role, to find out their entitlements and to access support.
As an Online Awareness Raiser volunteer, you’ll help to raise awareness of caring and the support available to unpaid carers through social media, while also providing a voice for unpaid carers, with assistance from Carers UK.

Why You'll Love It:

You will be there for carers through your social media accounts, reaching those who may not realise they’re caring. As many carers seek help and advice online, this role is a chance for you to make a difference without leaving the comfort of your sofa.
You’ll also have the chance to develop your IT and communication skills along the way.

What You'll Learn:

You'll learn about current issues unpaid carers face day to day.

What We're Looking For:

You’ll share a selection of Carers UK social media posts from an online toolkit you’ll receive via email each month.
• You’ll help carers access vital information, advice and support by directing carers to key updates and guidance on the Carers UK website.
• You’ll help to develop future online content packs for volunteers with your feedback and reporting
