Carbon Footprint Champions

Looking to hone your communication skills in a public-facing role? Wanting to learn more baout carbon footprints? Join the Green Team as a Carbon Footprint Champion and support the faciliation of the Sustainability Team's carbon footprint game.

What You'll Do: 

The University's Sustainability Team are looking for volunteers to faciliate the running of their cabron footprint game. Flexible volunteering opportunites will be available at pop-ups throughout they year. During each volunteering session you will:

- Support the set up and take down of the pop-up

- Facilitate the game at different locations with staff and students

- Manage participant enquiries

Please note: You do not have to be available for every pop-up but must complete a training session before attending a pop-up

Not only will you be given in-person training to learn more about carbon footprints and their significance when tackling climate change, but you will also be supported to develop skills in communication, event managemen and presentation.

- You'll recieve in-person training on carbon footprints

- You'll learn how to successfully facilitate the carbon footprints game for audiences with different levels of understanding

- You'll get an insight into key successes and challenges of sustainable behaviour change across a large organisation

- You'll enhance you employability skills in communication, presentation and teamwork

What We're Looking For: 

No previous experience in sustainability or event management necessary. We're looking for a fab group of students who

- Have an interest in sustainability and basic knowledge of carbon footprints

- Are confident engaging and working with a diverse group of people

- Are keen to learn and take own initiative
