Volunteer Receptionist and Admin Assistant

What You'll Do:

Make a difference and volunteer with a local education charity

The Guildford Institute’s mission is to provide an educational, cultural and social community hub in the heart of the town offering a special place for people of all backgrounds to meet, learn and explore. The termly programme includes a range of activities, such as courses, talks and events. We are also a room hire venue, plus home to a historic Library and a vegetarian restaurant V Café.

We are seeking a Volunteer Receptionist and Admin Assistant who will provide a warm welcome to visitors of The Guildford Institute. Our Reception is the ‘shop window’ of the Institute and as such, we’re looking for someone who will enjoy both face-to-face and telephone communications with our longstanding members and activity attendees. In addition, the Receptionist and Admin Assistant will assist with general administrative tasks to support the Institute’s office team.

We are looking for a confident individual with excellent communication and IT skills, who is flexible in taking on a variety of tasks and enjoys being part of a small, dedicated team.

If you could commit to a minimum of one day a week, on a regular basis, please contact us for more information.
